Who: Roxy Lalonde, OPEN
What: Shooting practice, or a walk home
Where: A shooting range, or her route home
When: 9/14, afternoonish
Warnings: nothing?
It was honestly a relief to go shooting again.
Roxy had gone to the shooting range Tex had given her, and while they side eyed Roxy with her brand new rifle, they quickly shut up when she mentioned the Soldier. After that, she chose the target farthest from the door and began her practice.
The first few shots were wide as she got used to the recoil and sound. Certainly more kick and noise than her laser, but it'd stand out less. She didn't want to make herself a neon sign. But soon enough she was tightening her spread on the target. On the knees and elbows, she really didn't want to focus on body shots.
But it relaxed her. She had been getting tense, twitchy. She'd barely go two weeks without firing her gun once, let alone months. It felt weird, unnatural, and this was such a good way to unwind.
Perhaps though, people will see her walking home later, humming to herself. Her gun safely disassembled in her bag.
