It's a nice day, so Wash has decided to walk home from the hospital rather than nag Niner for a car or take transportation. It's sunny, but not overwhelmingly hot, and there are relatively few clouds out today, just little wisps of neon in the sky.
He's passing through the park now, full of kids and their families and people enjoying themselves. It's nice, knowing that there are lives outside of Control and mercenaries and injuries. Peaceful lives.
Someday, Wash tells himself. Someday.
