Log: Birthday Fun

Who: Agent York, open
What: A gathering of friends for York's birthday
Where: The For Hire Base. Later Errera
When: Saturday 10/17
Warnings: None expected

After a very interesting and highly enjoyable morning with Sigma, the two of them make their way over to the base where York's arranged for everyone to meet. He is in a very good mood and has barely stopped smiling since he woke up. It's going to be a good day. He can just tell. It's his birthday, he's going to see most of the people he enjoys hanging out with, and with a trip to Errera that evening to top it all off, it's going to be a whirl of fun and crazy.

They arrive at the base and York lets them in, making a quick stop at his room so he can change from his disguised green into his own tan and then they head out to the common room to wait for the others. York flops down onto one of the couches and beams up at the ceiling. Yep, gonna be a good day.

"I can probably give you more new ideas than you give me," Delta challenges, a wicked gleam in his eyes.

"Next Sunday," Delta laughs, getting to his feet. "And now, if you'll excuse me, I have other plans."

"I guess that leaves me with only one last thing to say, other than happy birthday you silly man..." Delta takes a deep breath to prepare himself.

"I think it's time we end my role in your speech therapy. Your med team clearly has you well in hand and you've acquired more than your fair share of phonemes. And I need the time."

Delta smiles and happily takes the hug, holding his friend tightly to him.

"That doesn't mean you're free of me yet, smiles. You're going to help me convince my younger brother that I get lunch with you once a week. This change is going to give me more sleep, but cut into my best friend time. He can spare you one afternoon a week I think."

"Weekdays that aren't Wednesday, or Saturdays will work too, if it's lunch. If you'd meet me somewhere near work I can recover some time. But it guess it means no more coffee bribes."

He chuckles and shakes his head. York could live without.
protective_logic: (Huh?)

"Of course," Delta agrees, standing by. "Hurry on."

Delta stares at the box with a pleased grin. "Thank you York. Apparently someone remembered I have the worst craving for chocolate. Which I suppose is good, because I could definitely use some. All I have at the moment is a bar Theta bought me on his own and I didn't want to rush into that."

"It was sweet, but he shouldn't have done it," Delta answers simply. "Because, truth be told, he could have gotten kidnapped. I know most parents worry about that way too much, but given the history of my family, the concern is more genuine."

"Just a standard chocolate bar more or less. But he was so proud," Delta smiles, shaking his head.

"Yeah," Delta agrees, his voice soft. He was scared when he learned Theta had done it.

"Yeah," Delta agrees. "Well, I should get going. It's a good way back across town."
