Log: Born to Run
Who: Oquirrh (native); open mingle
What: shopping for and test-driving a motorcycle
Where: a dealership in Gulch's shopping district
When: Monday afternoon (19 October)
Warnings: possible dangerous driving situations. do not attempt
Shopping
Her C-rank certification is scheduled for a week from today, and while Oquirrh can't wait, she also can't do her job if she doesn't have the right set of wheels. Her jeep is fantastic for transportation and out-of-city runs, of course. Courier work calls for something different. Sleeker, swifter, smaller.
So, even if it means dipping into her savings again, Oquirrh is going to need a motorcycle. It doesn't have to be a cutting-edge model. She's fine purchasing something that's been refurbished, especially since she can check the maintenance.
Today, it's time to shop.
On the Road (feat. Agent Texas)
City driving isn't quite the same as winter navigation. Obstacles present themselves much more quickly and suddenly, for one, and there are considerably more of them to worry about.
Oquirrh doesn't care. The differences don't matter, not when she's happy to simply be out here.
Unless, of course, that difference is a red light. Sighing, Oquirrh pulls up next to another motorcyclist, a woman clad entirely in black. Nice bike. Really nice bike.
Wanna race? Oquirrh revs her engine softly twice; the light changes and she speeds off.
