Wash has never been so glad that he left home when he did, that he became a mercenary instead of a soldier. But there's still that hollow feeling in his gut, a kind of survivor's guilt that he can't quite place. There's no reason for him to think that he should be more battle-worn, but how come he got off more or less scot-free, and his double didn't?
