LOG: You're like an old perfume

Who: Agent Florida (native) and Agent Texas (native)
What: After breaking some of the Ai boys the day before, Tex is updating her informant on the new details learned.
Where: Tex's room in the For Hire base

She's not sure yet how much of the recordings she's going to show Florida or how much to tell him, but he's her best way of finding out any other information and hell. Part of her trusts him. They have an agreement to keep anything said in their rooms and that house of his between the two of them and she knows his word is as good as a written contract.

Even with a day to process, the whole thing is a damn mess. Even more so after she got the signing translations from Maine. How could they have a namesign for someone they didn't know existed? And why were they repeating the same phrases over and over? She hates to admit it, but she could use a sounding board right now. Somehow Florida is stepping into that roll, if he's even that invested in this trail of searches.

She's sitting on the edge of her bed, tablet in hand, as she presses the button on that box he gave her. Now all there is to do is wait.

"Oh, I love your skin too," Florida answers, his fingers stroking the back of her neck. "And may I say that you have some of the most stunning eyes I've ever known."

That both creep him out and make him smile. "You're a work of art, one I love the look of."

"Play your cards right and I'll consider leaving my contacts out when it's just us." He already knows her eye color, after all. No point in hiding it around him and it's almost... relieving to not have to wear them all the time anymore.

"I'd say you look good for your age too, but you haven't told me how old you are." The words are teasing. All she knows is he's older after that it's a crap shoot of a guess.

"Remind me to deal myself only winning hands," he laughs, his hands coming down to start on her shoulders through her shirt.

But he smiles when she can't see him and nods. "Oh yes, I look great for my age."

"I didn't think you dealt yourself anything else," she remarks. Her eyes slip close as he begins. After their romp, there's trust there and any tenseness within her body is from the recent conversations with the Ai family and not from having him above her and at her back. He wouldn't break that trust now.

"So. Is there anybody around that knows your real age?"

Finding her more relaxed than the last time, Florida shifts so he straddles Tex's waist to get a better angle on her back.

"No," Florida admits cheerfully. "The only man with any real idea of it I killed a while back."

And his master had deserved it.

If only she'd taken her shirt off so he could get at her muscles without the fabric in the way. She glances over her shoulder and reaches down to grab the hem in an attempt to get it out of the way.

"Sounds like there's a story that goes with that," she offers. If he wants to share. If not, that's his choice.

"More than one," Florida agrees, his tone suggesting that prying would be a bad choice. "Trying to get your shirt off? I assure you there's no funny business going on here. I just want you to relax."

Maybe... she can forget her problems easier if Florida shares his. He's not sure he's willing to bare himself like that, though. Maybe he can make something up.

She knows that tone, it's the same one she uses when the wrong people start pestering her for details. That's fine. There's still the issue of her shirt and with him on her waist, it makes it harder to maneuver to get it off.

"I want it off because you can give a better massage without it in the way," she says plainly. She's nothing if not practical and if she's getting a massage, she should get the most out of it.

"Of course, mi reina," he agrees, getting off of her and moving to work the shirt up her body because hey, he's a helpful guy... and he can't get enough of her skin. "Do you have any lotion? That will make this easier."

She tosses the shirt out of the way. It's her room, she'll find it later. At his question, she motions towards her desk. "Same drawer I kept my contacts in. It's nothing like your oils."

The lotion he'll find is high-quality, but unscented, it's only purpose to keep her skin from getting dry.

"Of course not, those are hand blended," Florida chuckles as he gets up to retrieve the lotion. Still, when he gets it out he's impressed by the quality. "Oh yes, this will do nicely."

He returns to the bed and spreads lotion over his hands. "May I resume?"

"You should keep a few vials of oil here if you plan to be doing this often." Would make this a lot easier. She settles back down and motions for him to come back.

"You've been invited," she teases.

[the_informant]

"What, no engraving on it? I'm hurt," Florida teases as he returns to straddling her. "I'll see about hiding some oils here."

Nothing flowery. He's already decided they can't stack up to her. Herbal scents, on the other hand, he might enjoy working those into her skin. Maybe fruits. He has a lovely lemongrass one that he thinks would do wonderful things for her.

"And I'm not planning on doing this often. I don't frequently give free massages out. Don't expect them without pay unless forewarned."

"If you think I'm getting that engraved on my ass or something, you'll be waiting a long time. And I already told you I'd be willing to pay," she replies with a light snort. Hell, she's surprised she's even getting a second free massage this week. Even if this is the one time she could really use it.

"I don't expect you to coddle and spoil me." Nor does she want him to.

Florida can't help but lean forward to whisper in her ear.

"I don't wish to coddle. I wish to help a friend. And... perhaps spoil a lover the littlest bit. But I will stop if you really want."

He hopes she doesn't want. He doesn't get magnanimous must for the sake of it often. Even his cooking and knitting for people here has ulterior motives. To make them like him despite what they know. To make them comfortable. To keep the peace.

The feel of his breath against her ear causes her to shiver.

"You don't have to stop, but I'm not expecting it of you. That's all." No expectations, something she thought he'd appreciate. They aren't dating, after all. She'll accept what he offers and save her demands for that house of his.

[the_informant]

"Wonderful," Florida almost purrs in her ear before pulling back keep rubbing her shoulders. "Every now and then I might be kind to you for my own sake. And you'll indulge an old man."

He chuckles and focuses on her shoulders. "I'm doing this for free because I expect to help. But I'm charging double for the next."

She rolls her eyes as he pulls back, but she's smirking.

"You said old, not me. I'm surprised you can even keep up." There's a small hum of approval as he works out a particularly tough knot. "Even at twice the price, this is worth paying for."

[the_informant]

"Oh, I assure you that my age, while there, will not hamper me for anything," Florida assures her, leaning down to kiss her shoulder before going back to work. "And you get to benefit from my experience."

[soldierinblack]

"And equipment," she adds. That is a huge perk to have stumbled upon and she didn't even have to maintain any of it. "I'm already looking forward to our second date. You're good at what you do."

[the_informant]

"You're just using me for my gear," he laughs happily. "I don't mind either. But pick a time and I'll see if I can make an appointment. And who knows, maybe you'll even let me get beyond cuffs next time."

[soldierinblack]

"Tomorrow at seven." She should have her head on straight by then, right? "If I need to cancel, I'll let you know a few hours in advance. You did what I wanted last time, so if you have something already picked out to try I'll muster up the patience for suspension."

Never mind that's something she wants to try, anyway.

[the_informant]

"Not ready for suspension yet," he chuckles. "But tomorrow night I'll tie my queen up in a pretty bow."

He presses his hands down her spine. "Tell me when my hands get too low."

"I didn't think you'd want to wait. Bow it is then." There's a small smile at the use of queen. She could get used to that. Maybe she should cook up a nickname to use for him.

"Don't go below the skin already exposed and you'll get to keep your hands."

"I do so love my hands," he laughs. "They get me into and out of so much trouble."

He behaves though, getting more lotion for his hands. "Once I'm done here you should take an nice shower to finish your unwinding. Or find someone to beat up."
