LOG: A Matter of Trust
Who: Florida (Native) and Omega Ai (Native)
What: Florida handing over a book, and showing Omega trust.
Where: Florida's room at the For Hire base.
When: 4/27, late morning.
Warnings: NSFW-ish content.
Florida lays there, stretched out on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. So many things to think about. A lot of them related to the man who was coming to visit him.
He has to chuckle. If Tex really is who they think, then he's inviting her younger brother to his room to try and seduce him. With rope.
God what a day.

It's a nice pattern, and he almost asks for a picture. He doesn't recognize it from the book, but he likes it.
Then he hears what Florida says, and it's just. Not right, though he couldn't say why. "I thought the point was the act," he says. "Trusting the team."
no subject
Shame. This man wasn't getting it. With a sigh he reaches for the end, working the final knot out. "Let's get you undone and out of here with those books."
Oh well. Too much to hope for two people to entertain.

He wonders what color Florida thought he'd look better in, but there's no way he's going to ask. Not when Florida's patting him on the head and sending him away like a child. What was the point, anyway?

He smiles as he slowly unwinds the rope from Omega's arms. "You know who has the real power when someone is bound? It's not the dom. No, it's the sub. Every last bit of the dom's attention is focused on his sub. On making sure they are comfortable, happy, safe, secure. You become the center of his world and the only thing you need to do is let them worry about everything."
Then the rope is done, he coils it, and he smiles. "You chose to trust me, and I thank you for that. Now trust yourself to know what you want. Don't be ashamed that you are interested in this. No one gets to judge you. Understood?"
no subject
It sounds...Omega can hardly imagine it. To be able to depend on someone else, to be able to admit it's not okay. Or to try to make someone happy, to be able to get it right. That doesn't happen. People either discount him as nothing, or expect him to know everything, there's no in-between.
"But, that's what I just said. The point is the act. Trusting the team member. That's literally what just happened." No matter what Florida claims. "There wasn't...I didn't..." There is no way to end the sentence that isn't some flavor of offensive, so Omega just shuts his mouth.

He shakes his head and stands. There is just no easy getting through to this man. So he takes a moment to hang the rope back up in the closet before rejoining Omega. "You just want me to give you the books and let you go, right?"
no subject
He folds his hands, tightly, to keep from signing something embarrassing. "Don't shake your head like I don't understand when you keep changing things on me."
He hates when people start changing things and then blaming him for not being able to keep up. Or worse, claiming it was like that all along.
no subject
He gestures to the book on the other side of Omega, still open to the pattern Omega had used on him. "This is different. This is about trusting me or you not because we're on a tam together. But because we put our faith in each other. It about believing I won't leave you tied up because you have faith in me, in Florida, rather than believing in The Informant, a member of your team. The difference between the individual and the organization."
no subject
"And why would you even trust me in the first place? I owe you two brothers, I can trust you. But how do you know that I won't leave you tied up?"
Not that he would. It's the principle of the thing.
But if it's not a team exercise, then it's coming back around to Florida gambling for kicks. That Omega isn't the kind of person to leave him high and dry, or that Omega is sufficiently afraid of Maine's wrath to behave.
And he signs, without realizing it, SO YOU WERE JUST USING ME.
no subject
I AM OFFERING YOU THE CHANCE TO USE ME.
"This whole thing seems to be a lot to you. Your life and the job prospects, hell, even your history. I'm offering you someone you don't have to be strong around. Don't have to impress. Don't have to be responsible for or to."
no subject
But that's been turning around, and Florida found Delta, saved Sigma.
"What color?" he asks, buying some time to think. "You said a different color. What color?"
no subject
no subject
"Pictures?"
no subject
"Don't share these with anyone. I took these with some friends, and they allow me to keep them personally and to share with like minded people. But you aren't to share them with someone else, alright?"
no subject
He's going to say no, Omega realizes as soon as the words come out of his mouth. Florida's going to say no, because Omega is a stuttering idiot who can't form a complete sentence.
In his defense, it's rare that he asks for something for himself, or at least something he's not owed.
no subject
Because if he can take even one bit of the weight of this man's shoulders, he's going to do it.
no subject
"Yeah. It works." This is ridiculous, this is absolutely ridiculous. And that's okay, because asking for serious things ends with brothers missing, with being locked out of the house. So he can ask. "I'd like pictures. You can keep copies too, if you want them."
no subject
His hand moves to rest on Omega's knee. "Before anything else you need to tell me one thing. This is a completely innocent, isn't it?"
no subject
He looks down at Florida's hand. "Innocent? Innocent of what?"
no subject
Shame, two Ais would have to be better than one.

Roughed up? He was signing up to get shot at. Then again, the less bruises he has to explain, the better.
"I'll read it," Omega promises. He's not sure when, or where. This isn't something he wants to share with his brothers. He shares everything else, Maine, Tex, is it so wrong to have something of his own?

He leaves, but he doesn't put them in his locker. Instead, he finds an out of the way corner and starts reading.
