Church is a regular here. Not as a patron, hell no, but as a bartender. Usually, in fact almost always, in blue (especially his helmet), declaring his side the 'eagle' side. It's a themeing thing, okay? Don't question the theme.

And he really wishes the mercs would find other bars to hang out in, planning their whatevers and darkening doorsteps, but what's he gonna do, call security? So long as he gets paid, then whatever.

"We should be okay. I can make Sigma pull his weight, and I have a feeling Epsilon will be sticking closer to home than usual. Plus Maine isn't likely to fire me for being late if I have to cover extra." Omega smiles at her. "But we won't say no to seeing you around more. Theta's been talking about the movie non-stop, and Iota wants long hair just like yours."

"He wants long hair too? Going to let him grow it out then?" she asks. "I'll try to take them out of the house more. Just depends on when my weekends are free. I might be able to swing it more when they're out for the summer unless you have plans to throw them in summer school."

"As long as he keeps it clean," Omega says. "Delta didn't cut his hair for a long time. If Iota isn't going to fight brushing, I'm not going to dictate it to him."

He frowns. "No, Delta and I haven't talked about it yet. We probably should have already but it's been a little hectic for a while. Theta and Gamma's grades are good enough that they don't need it, at least. They all loved going out with you."

"No summer programs or camps in their future?" she asks. "Could be good for them. I don't know what they're offering around here."

Would give the boys something to do in the summer beyond hanging around the house.

Those things cost money, and Omega has no idea how much the family has. That's Delta's deal. Probably not enough. But he's not going to say that to Tex and start fighting about money. "Delta might have some ideas. I've been a little busy keeping the older ones in one piece."

It wouldn't be a bad idea, though. He'll talk to Delta about it later.

"If he does, let me know. We can work something out." Those types of programs can't cost too much, right?

"So, what do you want to drink?"

"Sometimes we have a problem scheduling it around the buses," Omega offers. He really should look into how much a car would cost. Maybe it's finally possible, and the older the twins get, the more they need to be taken around.

"Scotch on the rocks, two fingers, middle shelf," Omega recites. "Please."

That's not a drink she expected him to order and she shrugs.

"Scotch it is. I'll get a shot of tequila, mid shelf too," she says with a slight teasing tone as she glances at Omega. How often does he go out to drink?

"What?" he asks. Did Florida set him up for something? "Something wrong with that?"

"Didn't take you for a scotch drinker," she answers. "Why?"

Omega looks down at the bar. "I've never had it before," he mumbles.

"Want to try it?" she asks. Otherwise she's not sure why he's bothering to order it.

"Said I did, didn't I?" Great, now he's managed to make himself look like an idiot in front of her all by himself.

"I don't know why you're mumbling about it then," she says with a sigh. Every damn time she tries to tease him, he seems to get so upset. "I said I'd buy you a drink, I don't care what you order."

Because he doesn't remember her, can't tell if she's teasing or serious. "Florida told me to get it," he says. "I haven't drank since the accident."

"Don't take drink recommendations from Florida. Only thing he drinks are appletinis," she replies with a dismissive wave of her hands. The things those two must talk about during medic training.

"What accident are you talking about?"

"I don't even know what an appletini is," Omega says. "But when I was seventeen, a bunch of us got into one of their dad's bourbon, and the next morning I woke up with bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhages and the worst hangover of my life. I was walking home, got hit by a car, and was too drunk to remember it."

He laughs at the memory, without much amusement. "The doctor told Price I had a concussion, and that's why I didn't remember. Probably saved my life."

Was he serious? One look at him says he is and she can't help but laugh. He's alive and it was years ago, thankfully.

"I thought I had issues drinking, sounds like I'm doing just fine," she teases. "I'm not going to let you get black out drunk, so you don't have to worry about that this time."

Ten years later, it's hilarious. At the time it was pretty funny, too, though he swore off alcohol for a time after that, and never felt the need to go back.

"Oh, that's not even the dumbest thing I've done under the influence. Just the last."

"Care to share the rest of those stories? Or are you going to need a few drinks in you first?" She's more than happy to oblige if it means she gets to learn more about him even if it's through drunken escapades.

"I'm allowed some secrets," Omega says. Some of them are just embarrassing. Most of them. "Not even the others know about what I used to get up to." How he survived to eighteen sometimes not even Omega himself knows.

"You managed to keep that even from them?" She lets out a low whistle. "I'm impressed. I thought Delta would be the first one to ask a lot of questions if someone came home late."

"Just because he asked doesn't mean I answered," Omega says with a smirk. He has ways of deflecting questions. Many ways.

The smirk is returned in kind. That's a skill she can appreciate. "Watch out, the others might pick up your trade secrets and cause him to go permanently red in the face."

"That is only one tool in my arsenal," Omega says. "The newest, in fact. They're smart kids. Keep me on my toes."
