Log: Mind the waves

Louisiana rubs the back of her neck, glancing over the newest report scrolling across her holopad. Something was brewing out in the city. All non-essential personnel were being recalled back to Armonia and now she had to oversee a team. She didn't mind low levels as long as they listened. At least Anders was to be her second in command over them.

She locks the pad after encrypting the information. All of that chatter flickering in the back of her mind. It could be ignored for now. Her holopad being shoved into her bag. Louisiana just needed to focus on getting through this lesson.

Sigma was easy. York...not so much. Not after what her partner had done. What her latest set of jobs as the Wraith entailed. It'll be easier once they arrive and she can stop fumbling with these thoughts.

Flopping into a lounge chair, Louisiana watched the water. Her head leaning back. One thing was for certain. Waiting still sucked.

Oquirrh splashes at him. "You've got to do better than that if you're going to be persuasive," she says.

"Hey!" Sigma slips to hide behind York. "Keep me out of this!"

"Sorry but I don't simply hand out information," she says. "I will say that it was fun. So you're right on that."

'You're wet already,' he points out, splashing Sigma himself. 'Come on, Lou. At least give me a hint?'

Oquirrh wants to guess it was Jersey, but she knows who put those bruises on York's neck and knows better than to ask.

"He's right, Sigma," she says, splashing him.

"You two--" Sigma splashes at them each with one hand. It doesn't do much good, so he tries again, this time trying to soak York first.

Louisiana smirks, pulling herself out of the water. "Looks like you already have your hands full. Besides my mouth is staying shut on who."

York splashes him back, harder this time though he's laughing with the fun of it. Too bad Lou won't talk, but he's distracted now.

Oquirrh feels no guilt teaming up against Sigma. She splashes harder, laughing when his spray misses her face.

"What, and you're not going to help? I see how it is!" He ducks underwater and swims back away from his assailants.

Or maybe he could try that dunking trick that Maine pulled on him. He slips behind York and stands up beneath his knees, dunking him backward.

Louisiana was more than happy to act as lifeguard and stay out of the line of fire. She leans back, smirking as the idiots splashed each other. Better yet was Sigma dunking York. Looks as though he could pick up more than just strokes given time.

Sigma ducked under so York turned on Oquirrh, grinning as he splashed the shorter woman wishing Wash was here to join in.

Then suddenly the world tipped over and he was sent tumbling backwards with a yelp. He crashed into the water and resurfaced quickly, shaking himself out and spotting the guilty party a few feet away. 'Sigma!'

"Hey!" They were supposed to be a team! She splashes at York, only to find he has disappeared. Instinctively, she moves away to get her back to the wall, where she'll be harder to dunk.

Sigma pops up a yard or two away from York, just in time to hear himself called out. "Yes?" he asks, turning with a barely-suppressed grin. "Do you need me?"

Oh the team split up. Things were starting to get interesting now.

'You little trickster! Come here!' He leaps for Sigma and tackles both of them under water, catching him up in his arms before they resurface.

Oquirrh looks up at Louisiana. "Should we practice our dives while they resolve this?" She asks.

Sigma pouts up at him. "I was showing you what I learned," he says. "I thought you might enjoy it."
