Log: There's No Place Like Home

There's no place like home, York thinks as he grins up at the building he's been away from for almost exactly two months. It hasn't changed at all, not that he'd expected it to, but the familiarity makes him smile so wide it almost hurts his face.

Sure, he's wheelchair bound and will be until he can get the strength back into his legs, but he's finally home and will soon be back among his friends. Plus he knows the medics here, so the care will be with people he's familiar with and who are familiar with him and that will make things a hell of a lot easier.

He's wheeled up to the door where he insists on letting himself in, tapping in the codes he's known for years and thanking God for the hundredth time that the bullet to his head didn't damage his motor functions. Learning to deal with only having one eye had been hard, recovering his speech is going to be just as tricky. Having to relearn how to move, how to use his hands would have been beyond torture.

The door swings open and he's pushed inside, grinning even at the plain hallway while he takes his helmet - his own helmet, finally returned to him that morning - off and holds it in his lap. He's been practicing with Obi for this.

York's hands trace the contours of new muscles. Sigma is too excited at the touch to be proud of himself. Those wonderful fingers follow his obliques and reach the small of his back, setting him shuddering in York's arms enough that his own hands hesitate.

Encouraged by Sigma's reactions, York keeps up his ministrations, one hand moving from his back to trace the lean muscles in his arms. That will be the swimming, most likely. And damn, if it isn't good. He's almost too distracted by his own exploration to notice Sigma's hands have slowed.

He hums at the touch on his arms. Had he realized how strong he has become? York certainly makes him feel stronger. He kisses his boyfriend softly, helpless and relishing it.

Oh yes, he's enjoying this. For a moment, he deepens the kiss, trying to pour the love he can't voice into it. Soon.

It's all Sigma can do to kiss him back. To hold on. To not be overwhelmed by the emotions and the love and the excitement of it all.

He eases up again, before things get too out of hand. As fun as that would be, and he plans on it happening sometime soon; not right now. So while he still kisses Sigma, he keeps the touch a little more gentle.

Sigma kisses him back as hard as he dares, still struggling to catch his breath. He gets his hands working again, slowly this time, though touching now seems less important than kissing.

York responds eagerly to the kisses, his hands giving up their roaming in favor of holding his lover close. They must know close on every inch of each other, yet he still enjoys every second.

This works even better. Sigma clings to him, licking at his lips in hopes of picking up where they left off when he got rid of their shirts.

A low, satisfied hum emerges from deep in York's chest and his lips part to allow Sigma in.

Sigma finds his tongue immediately and traces the length of it with his own. He'd almost forgotten the way that York tastes; he would grin but he's a little busy.

There we go. York hums happily, too preoccupied to do much else except keep kissing Sigma. Their lips will likely be swollen after this, but god, is it worth it.

So worth it. York is always worth it, no matter the aches afterward. His hands slip to the top of York's jeans and he tries to draw him closer.

At the tug, York shifts closer all too willingly, their legs now tangled together on top of the sheets.

They're so close. Sigma rubs his foot across the inside of York's ankle and up his leg, gently teasing, without stopping the kiss.

York's breath catches at the wandering touch, his hands tightening a little on Sigma's shoulders.

Laughing against York's lips, Sigma tries again, this time reaching a little higher. There are ways, he knows, to communicate without words that he's ready whenever York is.

York gets the message loud and clear and shifts against Sigma again. He's not entirely sure if he's ready to go all the way yet, but he's fine for now and trusts Sigma to slow or stop if he asks for it, like he promised he would before.

This would be a lot more fun if they weren't still in jeans. Sigma doesn't suggest it, though. If York wants to go that far, he knows how to suggest it. For now, Sigma keeps exploring, his toes tracing the contours of York's legs and feet even as their kisses slow on aching lips.

There, this is good. He'd be alright to push a bit further, but if they end up having sex, he'll probably fall asleep afterwards and he still needs to see everyone and settle back in. So he responds happily to Sigma's teasing, arms still wrapped around him, but he doesn't make any moves to take this pants off. Maybe later.

Sigma slips into a pattern, the pressure of the kisses coinciding with the flicker of toes around York's heel and toes. It's something different. Fun, even. And York's sounds suggest he's enjoying it, so he doesn't stop.

Gradually, York gets a sense of the pattern and then its easier to respond and move with him. This is new to both of them, small and simple as it is, but it's kind of cute.

It's kind of ridiculous, really, how swimming makes him want to use his feet more. That may very well be what causes it. Now that York moves with him, he realizes that it doesn't matter. It's all right to explore, even this first time back together. Some things will still be strange.

They're off to a good start.

York has to smile because it's weird, but he's enjoying it nonetheless, and it looks like Sigma is too. And hey, he always said he was open to experimenting. It's just another way of getting the contact they've been starved of. He kisses him again, gently now.

Sigma kisses him back softly. He's getting tired now, coming down from the high as his legs stiffen and his breath shortens and his lips get clumsy. Slow is good now, he thinks. He wraps his legs up in York's and lies still, relishing the proximity.
