It's almost like coming home

What: She’s heard she still has an empty room and has finally decided to move back into it.
Where: For Hire base
When: Forward dated to 4/6, throughout the day

It had been a surprise when York had asked her if she was planning to stay on base with the rest of them. With how rarely she’s in the Gulch, she had thought her room would have been re-purposed by now. She lets that bit of information sit for the better part of a week before making a decision. There’s safety in numbers and even with her argument with York over the network, it’s a place she can trust to not have her throat slit overnight and if she’s going to be staying for an extended period in the city, she needs that.

She waits until the morning before slipping into the compound. She doesn’t have much, mostly tools of the trade and bare necessities, but the little she has is soon in her room. Her helmet is set on the desk and the door is left open as she sorts through the few belongings that were left behind, primarily clothes she couldn’t carry with her, and settles in. Her room is composed of the most basic of furniture and when she’s finished, her arsenal of guns and various weaponry will be the main feature.

Once her room is situated, she’ll wander the base and see what new additions have been made since she last was here. Eventually she’ll wind up in the kitchen to make and eat lunch before continuing her exploration and perusal of everything the base has to offer.

She's starting to wonder if Maine talks more than him. To her, at least. She falls into step behind him and crosses her arms over her chest. Wherever he's leading her, she'll let the silence linger and wait for him to speak up first.

York leads her to the control room where the mainframe is set up. The CMC can be accessed from any of the computers, but it can only be altered by one. He doesn't take her to that one.

'Here,' he says pulling it up.

She raises a brow when he pulls it up and leans in to get a better look at the screen.

"I just enter everything here? Is this the only way to get access to the information?" she asks. She's not sure what kind of set up they have going on now.

'No. Alterations are made on that monitor, but you can access the system from all of these.' He points to the main computer as he speaks. 'Everyone has a password to change the CMC so we can see who's made what changes. Someone will give yours to you.'

"Good. I'll mess around in it once I have that and you won't have to worry about a thing." That's about all she can do to quell any concerns and if there's still some after that, then it's not her problem.

'You do that,' he says. It will make him feel better, knowing she knows where they're all going to be. He trusts her enough that he's pretty sure she wouldn't turn on them if the paycheck was big enough, but there will still be wariness. Though not as much as befoe.

"Is that all I need to know about it?" she asks, eyes still studying the information on the screen. None of that mess had been intentional, but at least something good came out of it if they had this system put in place quickly after.

'From me, yes,' he replies. 'I'm sure the others can fill you in on anything else you need to know.' He leans back,moving away from the monitor so Tex can get a better look at it and starts to head for the door.

She glances back when she hears his footsteps moving away. Hopefully his claim that her living here won't be any trouble is true. If all he wants to show her is where the CMC is, she'll figure out the rest with time and maybe drag Florida in here if she needs the extra help.

"I'll see you around," she calls out before turning her attention back to the computer.

'See you,' he throws over his shoulder before leaving quickly. He makes a quick pit stop to the kitchen to grab coffee and cookies, then he retreats to his room where he curls the blanket around him and drinks his coffee while watching a movie on his datapad.
