Even though it's his brother, he's easy to overlook. Still, Church makes sure to hit everyone up at least once and-- "Sup. More choco-coffee goodness for you?"

[protective_logic]

"No thank you. I'm looking to sleep tonight. Just not easy," Delta admits. "I don't suppose you can make that pineapple coconut thing you did that one time without alcohol? If not, just give it to me with."

He hesitates for a moment before taking a key out of his pocket and putting it on the counter. "I promised you this."

He looks at the key for a long moment before swiping it and shoving it in a pocket, immediately distracting his hands with making the requested drink. "You're sure about this?"

[protective_logic]

"I live for my family. That includes you. We're having dinner Thursday. We can do it earlier in the day if you'll join us."

[alphawho]

"I... When you say we're having dinner. You mean uh. Like. Everyone?"

[protective_logic]

"The family," Delta agrees. 'Is that... too much?"

[alphawho]

"No, no, uh. I mean. It's kind of much but that's because doing literally anything with the whole family thing makes me nervous." Because of not belonging there and everything. "But I can be there if you want me to be."

[protective_logic]

"Then dont' come," Delta shrugs. Because he's long since done pushing people into this. "It's up to you. I'm not telling anyone I invited you. That way if you don't come, no one is let down."

[alphawho]

"...Wow. You really know how to ruin a good moment, huh." He's half tempted to put booze in the drink anyway out of spite. Instead, he just sets the glass down with more force than necessary before pouring it in. "Tell people you invited me and then everyone will still be surprised when I show up anyway."

[protective_logic]

"That isn't how kids work," Delta counters. "I'm trying not to force you into this, Church. Which is why I haven't told them. I want the twins gleeful to see you if you show. I want them to have that. I don't want to strong arm you."

[alphawho]

"Nobody said shit about strongarming me into anything. You're inviting me, I'm making sure that's what you want and not just what you pretend everyone wants, I show up, bam."

[protective_logic]

"I honestly don't know what anyone else wants," Delta sighs, looking away. "I want you there."

[alphawho]

"Okay, cool, then I'll be there." Not sure why Delta makes it his mission to make everything hard, but whatever, that was less painful than other conversations they've had.

[protective_logic]

"What do you like to eat?" Delta smiles. "So I know I have something you'd like to have there."

[alphawho]

"Uh...I mean, y'know, whatever's fine. Burgers and like...I don't know, meaty stuff I guess? Uhhhh...honestly whatever there is is good. I know I'll find something I like." It'd probably be easier to make a list of things he's not willing to eat.

[protective_logic]

"Better than Omega," Delta laughs. "He doesn't like meat and he walks away. It's frustrating."

[alphawho]

"...I'm sorry, he doesn't like meat? I don't...I don't think i comprehend those words together." He squints. Not that anyone can see it. "Maybe he's an angry motherfucker because he doesn't get enough protein in his diet."

[protective_logic]

"We give him plenty of protein," Delta laughs. "TC doesn't like it either, the guy I come here to drink with sometimes. He likes seiten. I don't even get it."

[alphawho]

"I'm not sure that's even a word."

[protective_logic]

"Wheat based meat substitute," Delta explains, rolling his eyes. "Omega thinks it is devil spawn or something."

[alphawho]

"Sure sounds like it to me. ...For the record, I don't have any weird dietary restrictions, so. I'm a no longer growing young man, I'll eat anything once so long as it doesn't kill me."

[protective_logic]

"Well, then I think you're going to be the easiest person to cook for," Delta laughs. "Thank you for that."

[alphawho]

"Hey, sometimes I'm actually easy." ...Wait. "For stuff that isn't- you know what I mean."

[protective_logic]

"Why would I care if you were 'easy' or not?" Delta asks honestly.

[alphawho]

"...So are you actually capable of joking or what?"
