"If you say so." Getting a shiny new house and sort of kind of potentially getting a new boyfriend-or-something don't seem like bad luck to him.

York glares at him, but says nothing. Clearly he doesn't know half the shit Delta's been going through lately.

'Going to visit their new house?'

Church can only shrug. What does he know? Not much, apparently. But Delta also thinks the world's ending if something doesn't happen according to schedule, so.

"Dunno. Guess so. I got promised a key and everything."

'Really? That's good.' He'd heard things were going better between Church and the rest of his family, but this is proof of just how good.

"Yeah, I'm just glad it's not like...pleas for me to come live with them or anything, cuz that'd be pretty awkward."

[depthlesslock]

'Sure, but at least you know you're welcome,' he says. 'You've got your own solid place though, why t-shange?'

[alphawho]

"Exactly. I don't need a ton of room, and I don't need a bunch of roomies up in my business."

[depthlesslock]

'I think the current arrangements are good. Or the arrangements once they've moved.'

[alphawho]

"That many people in one house, yeah, I kinda see the need for a lot more space."

[depthlesslock]

'Especially with the littles growing,' he adds.

[alphawho]

"I mean, once more of them start moving away, they'll have a lot of extra space, but that'll just be a selling point down the line."

[depthlesslock]

'Sure, but unless Epsilon moves out for good, that's not going to be for a while yet.' Isn't Gamma fourteen? So that's at least another four years.

"Still better than they're living now, though. I think. You've probably seen the place."

[depthlesslock]

'I've seen the old place but not the new one,' he says. 'Delta says it's good though.'

[alphawho]

"So life's not all shitty fire and brimstone right now, huh?"

[depthlesslock]

'No, it's not,' he agrees, nursing the bottle.

[alphawho]

"But still shit enough to need to drink as much as possible." So noted. "How's Sigma?"

[depthlesslock]

'You're the one dragging silver linings out of the clouds here,' he grumbles. He's not a negative person, but every now and then, all the shit just gets to him and he needs some time to moan about it.

The mention of his boyfriend, however, breaks the metaphorical clouds up a bit. 'He's doing good, been trying to figure out how to get rid of the gunk from last month. The two of us are gonna wat-sh Theta and the twins during the move.'

"I bet Omega's flipping out about that. Fuck him."

'Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.' He glares at the bottle.

[alphawho]

"Sigma'll take good care of the kids. Bet you will, too."

[depthlesslock]

'We'll do our best,' he says, nodding. 'They're great kids.'

"Anything for me to help? Or just keep applying booze until it doesn't hurt anymore?"

[depthlesslock]

'Right now, I'm gonna go for the latter.' He takes another swig.

"Always happy to help on that front."
