'Rescue Ranger,' he says. 'OWash would more likely get smashed with me.'

'That's 'cause he's been busy being a damn bully.' Most of this is said into the bottle as he takes another swig.

"OWash," he repeats, cuz, well, that's a new one. "Yeah. Probably would. So. What's been happening in the life of Keys that has him so down in the dumps, huh?"

'Other Wash,' he elaborates. 'He's doing better. I dunno how often he comes in here. Or if he has since the first time.'

'You know what's being going on with Delta, right?'

[alphawho]

"Oh yeah, he comes here on his own. We chat. Not a bad guy. A little weird but not in like a weird way."

Church leans in on his elbows. "Like with the moving and stuff...?"

'Really? That's good.' He hadn't been sure how Wash would deal with the Alpha of this world, given the one in his own. 'Yeah, I get what you mean. He's good. He met Sig a while back and they got on.'

He glances up. Does Church not know about the whole issue with Maine? Well, it's not his to tell. 'All that stuff.'

"All the stuff with Delta is a lot of stuff given I'm pretty sure he's psychologically incapable of letting anything go. So which thing are we talking about?"

'Honestly, most of it. Shit's been really hard on him lately and it's wearing on him.' He sighs and takes another drink.

[alphawho]

"Aaaaand what's that gotta do with you?"

[depthlesslock]

'I'm worried about him.' He folds his arms on the table and rests his chin on them.

"You...are?" Seriously? Do they know each other that well?

[depthlesslock]

'Yeah, of course I am. How could I not be?'

[alphawho]

"Cuz I didn't realize you guys even interacted."

[depthlesslock]

York stares.

'Are you serious?'

[alphawho]

"I...mean...I guess if you're dating his brother you'd talk."

[depthlesslock]

'Delta's one of my best friends!'

[alphawho]

"Really? Jesus christ I'm sorry. That must get annoying real fast."

[depthlesslock]

'Wat-sh it,' he warns. 'He's a great guy who's currently going through Hell.'

[alphawho]

"Uh-huh. I dunno about great, but at least he sometimes tries to put his heart in the right place. Seems to backfire pretty often, though."

'I'll say it does,' he sighs. 'He seems to have all the bad luck.'

[alphawho]

"If you say so." Getting a shiny new house and sort of kind of potentially getting a new boyfriend-or-something don't seem like bad luck to him.

York glares at him, but says nothing. Clearly he doesn't know half the shit Delta's been going through lately.

'Going to visit their new house?'

[alphawho]

Church can only shrug. What does he know? Not much, apparently. But Delta also thinks the world's ending if something doesn't happen according to schedule, so.

"Dunno. Guess so. I got promised a key and everything."

[depthlesslock]

'Really? That's good.' He'd heard things were going better between Church and the rest of his family, but this is proof of just how good.

[alphawho]

"Yeah, I'm just glad it's not like...pleas for me to come live with them or anything, cuz that'd be pretty awkward."

[depthlesslock]

'Sure, but at least you know you're welcome,' he says. 'You've got your own solid place though, why t-shange?'
