Per Sigma's suggestion, Delta's prompting, and Omega's invitation, tonight is the first night Maine is welcomed back into the lives of the Ais. Dinner is set for an hour after Maine is due to arrive, giving him plenty of time to socialize, and there are board, card, and video games out in the family room for before dinner if needed and after dinner indeed. Everything is ready for the friend to be welcomed back by a joyful family.

"His job," Delta rolls his eyes as he takes the bread out to deal with it. "I've told you. He flies packages. Things wealthy people pay a lot to have transported quickly."

"Sounds fun," Omega says, as sarcastically as humanly possible. "Does he advertise discretion and privacy?"

[protective_logic]

"I don't know. His company might," delta shrugs. "Not my business to pry into his business." Why is that so hard to accept?

[baruthumos]

"Oh, so he's not a drug smuggler." Omega is almost disappointed.

[protective_logic]

"Not that I know of. Perhaps he does sometimes. Rich people do strange things. We delivered a cooler of something. He has delivered organs..."

[baruthumos]

"Okay, that's cool." Omega sits up. Of course transporting body parts would interest him. "What was in the cooler?"

[protective_logic]

"I don't know and I don't ask," delta notes. "Unlike my brother who I thought didn't want to know about my time with TC."

[baruthumos]

"Naked time," Omega says. "Besides, he has..." He cuts himself off before he says that Delta's friend has a positive effect, because that sounds like an easy way to start a fight about the pile of hair gel. "Body parts in his plane. That's cool."

[protective_logic]

"Is this a conversation we should have with younger siblings around?" Delta asks.

"I don't care," Gamma mumbles as he evaluates the level on the screen.

[baruthumos]

"I don't want to hear anything you wouldn't say in front of Gamma." Omega gives Delta a serious look. "Do I need to? Hear something?"

His sensibilities take a backseat to his family's safety.

Delta shakes his head. No one needs to know he is making the mistake of starting to fall for someone he shouldn't and swore not to. Especially since it will go nowhere. Apparently showing him a dash of affection is all it takes to win him. Pathetic.

Omega looks at him. Where is the snarky comment? "Nothing?"

[protective_logic]

"Nothing," Delta agrees. "TC and I are doing very well thank you very much."

[baruthumos]

"Right. And your trip?"

Well, Delta wants Maine in the house, so that's an improvement.

[the_informant]

"Fun," Delta answers with a small smile. "I learned about Sushi. It was nice."

[baruthumos]

"Sushi," Omega repeats. Ah, he can't outthink Delta and beat Gamma at a video game at the sme time. "I'm glad you had a good time," he says. It's the truth. It's a little hard to believe, because Delta will forever be his problem child, but it looks like maybe he's in the clear for a while.

"Me too," Delta smiles at some of the memories. "Enjoy your game."
