EVENT: Chemical rain

mayhem_npc[ It's an ordinary morning, as far as things go for the population of Gulch—though the plague clouds are rather dense on this particular day. People arise, go to work, go shopping, take care of their business, and then—then the north side of the city is rocked by a bang and a rumble. An explosion has occurred at a local plastics factory, and a noxious cloud of gases is released. The effect is almost immediate. Gases in the air coalesce into droplets and begin to precipitate to the ground as rain. Sirens go off shortly after, letting people know there's an emergency.
The rain falls and falls. And after three days, the aftermath. Everything is coated with a sticky resin, from the ground to the sides of the buildings to vehicles and equipment. Those who are scientifically-minded may wish to search for a solution to cleaning everything up, and though a chemical detergent is greatly sought-after, those who are practical and resourceful will find the resin balls up harmlessly when rubbed with sand. The problem, then, becomes what to do with the dirty sand, but people in Gulch can never have everything... ]
