Log: Tending the Twins

Who: Sigma Ai, Agent York (Native), any Ai siblings who are at home
What: Babysitting the little siblings during Delta's appointment

Before he picks up the twins from school, Sigma finds everything he should need. Paper, pencils, crayons, and even a few stickers, so they can decorate the room with "Get Well Delta" cards. Dishes, cups, and favorite juices. A rogue ball of string in case York wants to help the twins play the "secret agent" game that he proposed on their second date.

It's a lot for one morning of babysitting, but Sigma really wants this to go well. Delta needs it, and more importantly, he hasn't seen York since before finals. It's time to sit back, have fun, and pretend that nothing is wrong.

Thankfully, the twins are pretty docile by the time they get home. Both of them have been cranky in Delta's absence. Now, they just seem resigned. Sigma hopes York will help him cheer them up.

"From the same group as--as our sister." The word makes him burrow closer into York's neck. "Sounds like we had luck on our side."

"I would love to go out with you. Any time. Or, at least, any time that I can."

He tightens his grip on Sigma, feeling him tense. Why Tex - Beta - still makes him do that, York doesn't completely understand, but it's too nice a mood right now to ruin it by asking. 'Sure does. I believe in luck.'

'You can count me in,' he says. 'Let's see when we're both free soon and make a date.'

"It doesn't have to be complicated," Sigma says. "Really, I just want to be with you."

'That's a simple plan I can get behind.'

"Well then I'm happy already."

He laughs at that. Good one.

[ambitious_muse]

"What? You make it so easy," he admits.

[depthlesslock]

'And very few other people take advantage of the openings,' he says, mussing his hair.

"By all means," Sigma says, leaning into the teasing hand. "Take advantage. I'm yours."

'God, I love you.' His fingers tighten in Sigma's hair so he can tug his head back and kiss him.

The words sound even better when York says them. Sigma melts into the kiss.

York feels him melt and holds him steady, supporting him as as he kisses him deeply.

Sigma manages to slip his other arm around York's shoulder, holding him tighter and taking some of his own weight. It's easier to return the kiss this way.

York adjusts quickly and easily to the new position and immediately takes advantage of Sigma being able to reach him easier.

He's vaguely aware that he's practically in York's lap now. To his surprise, he doesn't care. It's not nearly as awkward as he would have thought.

York doesn't really care what position they're in as long as it's comfortable and he can kiss Sigma easily. Which he can.

He's not sure how they went from cuddling to kissing so quickly, but he certainly won't complain.

York almost doesn't here the small patter of feet down the stairs. Fortunately he does and quickly, if reluctantly, breaks the kiss before the twins can walk in on them.

At first, Sigma doesn't hear anything. He pouts up at York. "What--"

Footsteps. Oh. He's impressed that York heard them. Still pouting, he slips off of York's lap.

"If they ask, we're still in prison," he whispers.

He feels cold without Sigma against him, but it can't be helped. 'So we telekinetically put the string away?' he asks, grinning, but flops back as the twins come into the room.

"shhh. They won't care," he says, hating that he has to pull away.

They don't ask. Both twins join them on the couch without speaking for post-nap cuddles.

Sigma's right. Both of them still look drowsy as the settle on the couch. York can barely keep from making an "aww" noise, especially when Iota squishes in next to him.

"Did you have a good nap?" Sigma asks Eta. She nods against his chest. "I'm glad Samson protected you."

'What's the lion called?' York asks and gets a mumbled "Ryan" from both of them in response.

"They're good protectors," he says to Eta. "Did you know they used to take naps with me, too? And Ep, and D, and Meg, and even Alpha."
