Log: Another Night with Alien

Sigma cleans the kitchen when he's done preparing tomorrow's dinner. If Omega wants to cook the mac and cheese here, he'll have full use of the facilities. More importantly, Sigma wants him to be impressed.

So he didn't have time to vacuum the living room (or a vacuum with which to do the vacuuming). At least his textbooks have been put away (or on his bed, to be put back on the table when his guests leave). His apartment looks presentable. Cozy, even.

Now he just needs his guests.

"Sauce is done, so I guess we just wait for the noodles," Omega says. "Also, I really need a car."

It is impossible to be a good medic relying on the bus.

"I have a few models picked out. We would just need to budget it in," he says. "And pick a color."

Sigma wants red, Omega just knows it. "Is purple an option?"

[ambitious_muse]

"I mean, I'm sure we could find one. I thought you might like something more low-proile," he says. "I was thinking black."

"Black works," Omega says. "Better than white."

Price's was white. Showed the dirt.

[ambitious_muse]

"So much better." He always associates white with figures of hypothetical authority. Like policemen.

[baruthumos]

"Did you know you don't have to take a driver's test to renew your lisence?" Omega asks. "I don't remember if Delta ever had his. You didn't, right? I'd be the only one with one."

[ambitious_muse]

"I just earned mine, actually. Louisiana taught me."

[baruthumos]

"Congratulations," Omega says, clapping him on the shoulder. "Why didn't you tell us?"

[ambitious_muse]

"I didn't think it was a big deal?" he admits. "And so much has been going on. I guess I just didn't think about it."

[baruthumos]

"You are no longer a slave of public transport," Omega says. "That is something worth celebrating."

[ambitious_muse]

"More or less. I don't actually have a vehicle that I can drive regularly," he points out.

[baruthumos]

"So?" Omega says. "It's an excuse for ice cream, not an invitation to a road trip."

[ambitious_muse]

"I'd be all right with ice cram," he admits.

[baruthumos]

"Good thing I brought some then." Omega smiles at his brother. When did Sigma grow up?

"Sounds like tonight will be a party. I've got good company and everything."
