Log: Another Night with Alien

Where: Sigma's apartment

Sigma cleans the kitchen when he's done preparing tomorrow's dinner. If Omega wants to cook the mac and cheese here, he'll have full use of the facilities. More importantly, Sigma wants him to be impressed.

So he didn't have time to vacuum the living room (or a vacuum with which to do the vacuuming). At least his textbooks have been put away (or on his bed, to be put back on the table when his guests leave). His apartment looks presentable. Cozy, even.

Now he just needs his guests.

Scout hisses up at Puma, who bats at his ears to try to keep him down. Claws are out: Sigma can feel them through his jeans. He tries to scoot back his chair but can't for fear of hitting Scout on the leg of the table or dislodging Puma despite the claws in his legs.

"Ow. Okay, they're definitely fighting."

No, not good. Louisiana pushes herself out of her chair and rushes over to Sigma. Sure enough the two kittens were hissing and swinging at each other. Placing a gentle hand around Scout, she starts to work him off of the jeans.

"No guys stop. Look both of you will get attention, alright," Louisiana says. Scout lets out a final growl before giving up and bundling himself in her arms. "Sorry about that."

"Are they brothers?" Omega asks. "They'll learn to get along." He's okay with not holding a cat. Means he gets to eat.

"No, that's--it just surprised me, that's all."

With Scout gone, Puma settles down. Sigma skritches behind those ears with his free hand. Poor disgruntled kitten. He'll have to look out for that in the future.

Louisiana settles the small kitten onto her shoulder and waits for him to stop fussing before sitting down again. The crisis was over though. Seems the kitten just wanted to not be ignored.

"Yea they are brothers. I think they just don't want to be ignored and get jealous that one or the other is getting attention," she says.

"Makes sense to me," Omega says. "When did you get them?"

Brothers, huh? That makes sense to him. Sigma supposes that means he shouldn't pick favorites, but now that Puma has calmed down and started to purr contentedly, it's a little difficult.

"Maine and I visited the shelter on Tuesday. So today will be the second day. I did figure out how to tire them out for the night," Louisiana admits. Honestly the kittens seemed more than happy to pass out when the lights went out.

"Oh, exciting," Omega says. "They're just babies. If you ever need someone to look after them while you're out of town, give me a call."

"Can you imagine the twins with these two?" Sigma laughs. "Each with one? Eta would have a heyday. I bet she'd wear Scout out pretty quick."

Louisiana gives a nod. "Yea that would be pretty cute. However these guys still have claws and such. Make sure that neither parties end up playing too rough with each other."

"Thanks for offering though," she says, turning back to Omega. "This saturday they may be with Maine. You'll be the first call next time."
