LOG: What You Get Folks

Who: Delta Ai (Native), Maine (Native), Omega Ai (Native)
What: Family bonding... with a middle man.
Where: Movie Theater at the Gulch Mall.

Warnings: Delta and Omega don't get along.

It is easier, of course, to do this apart. But the problem is that things aren't that easy anymore. They are having a problem with a lot of this. Having problems with a lot of things lately. But Maine was helping, and Delta is furious that Omega even brought the man into it. This was his boyfriend, and Omega's friend. They didn't need him in the middle of their squabble. And Delta definitely didn't need him to be here. But here, in the end, is where they are.

Delta waits outside of the theater, trying to ignore how uncomfortable he is in the open, waiting. Waiting for Omega. Waiting for his meddling boyfriend. Waiting for... well, something. Anything that proves he's getting better. That it's getting better. That he's not completely ruined.

He shakes his head. There's no arguing with that logic. He knows better. "Then have as many fries as you want," he says, helping himself to another.

Delta smiles and dips her fries into the sauce again, humming in pleasure. "These are going to be great with my milkshake."

[baruthumos]

Omega can't believe anyone would willingly eat anything banana flavors, but he's going to keep his mouth shut and eat more fries.

[maine_makes_growly_noises]

"Perfect," he says. It's wonderful to see them smiling together.

[protective_logic]

"Is anyone here going to get sick if I dip my fries into my milkshake?" Delta asks.

Normally he prefers chocolate but... cold chocolate dairy? Going to make him think naughty things.

[baruthumos]

"I think I'll live," Omega says dryly. So gross. Why does his brother put such gross things in his mouth?

[maine_makes_growly_noises]

"Go ahead." He knows someone else who used to do that. Who, he can't remember, but it certainly won't bother him. Vanilla might have been a better flavor for it, though.

[protective_logic]

"I'm sure you will," Delta rolls his eyes at his brother as he smiles. "These are amazing, but I don't like the sauces all that much, okay?"

[baruthumos]

"More for me," Omega says, spinning the fry in the dipping sauce to ensure even coverage.

[maine_makes_growly_noises]

"Help yourself," Maine says. He'll have some ketchup occasionally, but for the most part, he prefers his fries without condiments.

[protective_logic]

"So I get the reason you guys were so excited," Delta chuckles and then he's grinning because the woman has arrived with his milkshake.

[baruthumos]

"Think we could make these at home?" Omega asks.

[maine_makes_growly_noises]

Maine just smiles and nudges Delta gently with his knee. Of course he wasn't excited over nothing.

Could they make fries like these at home? "Possibly. Peel and season potatoes, bake with a bit of oil?"

Figuring out the seasonings would be the difficult part.

"We could look online for a recipe," Delta suggests. "I think the littles would just adore these. And it's not like potatoes are expensive."

Even on Adaptive they were cheaper than most vegetables. Ease of growing.

"Spices... Definitely good salt and pepper, but something more... savory too?"

[baruthumos]

"Don't know but it's good," Omega says. He loves potatoes, and these are good potatoes. "And yeah, the littles would inhale them."

[maine_makes_growly_noises]

"Paprika?" Maine guesses. He tastes another. "Something savory." It's not rosemary or oregano.

[protective_logic]

"Maybe something like a container of season-all salt will do it," Delta suggests thoughtfully. "I've... just resigned myself to learning how to make these, haven't I?"

[baruthumos]

"Looks like it, D," Omega says. "Tell you what. You find the recipie and I'll do the knifework."

[maine_makes_growly_noises]

"Teamwork?"

Maine grins. Perfect. Making steak fries together won't solve their relationship problems, but he hopes it will help.

"Works for me," Delta smiles. "We'd want a stronger knife. We need good knives."
