Log; Happy Birthday, Boyfriend

The problem with having a clever live-in boyfriend is that Sigma has no idea how to hide his birthday present. Clearly, the solution is to not keep the present in the apartment. Still, what to get him?

Ultimately, it was the beignets that gave him the idea. He ends up not getting anything until the morning of; then, an hour before York would wake up, Sigma sneaks out of bed. A note on his pillow should keep York from worrying if he wakes up early. Sigma takes a spare outfit into the bathroom so he can change quietly later, then puts on street clothes and he's ready to hit the store and the Green Fairy.

He's home within a half hour of York's usual wake-up time, arms loaded with groceries and a latte for York. Hopefully the smell doesn't wake York. Moving quickly, Sigma snatches a length of gold ribbon from the bag and hurries into the bathroom. He stowed the skinny jeans that York loves in here and his soft brown button-up shirt that he bought for the party at Errera tonight. He unbuttons the sleeves, though, and only does the second-to-last button up the front so his shirt hands open. All the easier for York to see his collar, which he puts on now. Last of all, he slips the ribbon through his belt loops and ties the biggest bow he can manage.

There. The first part of the present is wrapped. Now he snatches everything else and carries it to the bedside table: the cinnamon spice latte, whipped cream, caramel and chocolate syrups, fresh strawberries, and even a little bowl of powdered sugar. For a final touch, he sets the cuffs beside them. Hopefully he did a decent job rigging up the headboard so they can use the cuffs more effectively. For now, though, he gets into place, climbing onto the bed and straddling his boyfriend.

"Hey, birthday boy," he croons. "I brought you breakfast in bed and a present to unwrap."

Getting the jeans down takes work, given how tight they are, but between them, they mange it and once they're off, York wastes no time in running his hands up Sigma's bare legs.

Sigma leans in to kiss him again, no longer hungrily but teasing. Little kisses along York's jaw should do the trick.

York lets him tease for a bit, then chases his lips until he manages to catch them with his own.

As usual, he's more than happy to have been caught. Sigma sprawls against him once more for ease of kissing.

He lets out a pleased hum at the increased contact between them and his hands run all over Sigma's form as they move against each other.

Forget unwrapping him. York's hands may undo him entirely. Laughing against his lips, Sigma lets his hands slide up York's shoulders and neck to cradle his jaw.

York turns his head a little so he can nuzzle against one of Sigma's palms, warm on his skin. Kissing him again, his hands settle on his hips and he rocks up against him.

The motion leaves Sigma moaning against York's lips. Is that what he wants? Sigma would have trouble denying him even if it weren't his birthday. He squeezes York's hips gently with his knees in understanding.

York gasps, his hands tightening on Sigma's hips, but he looks up in question, double checking that Sigma's good to go further.

Sigma grins at him. "So. How should we start your birthday?" He asks.

'Will breakfast get cold if we have seks now?' he asks, also smiling.

"Your latte might," he admits. "The rest--you can probably guess." He's pretty sure York knows what the toppings are for.

York glances up to get his first proper look at the food Sigma had brought in. There's a surprising amount of toppings and a lack of something to put them on. ...Except for...

'I'm so proud of you,' he teases, the slow grin of realisation spreading over his face.

"I wanted to do something special," he says. "I'd say it'll get warm, but isn't that the point?"

His grin widens and he leans up to kiss him. 'You're the best,' he says. He keeps hold of Sigma as he sits up so his lover doesn't have to move too much. Once there, he reaches for the latte.

Sigma sits back on York's lap so he can access his coffee more easily. Honestly, he'd been considering something like this ever since he and Louisiana first made beignets. The timing just hasn't felt right, though. He wanted to save it for something special.

Coffee always comes first, though. He knows that well enough.

It's cooled just enough that he can drink it without fear of getting burned, and yet it's still hot. Cinnamon spice! He hums happily into the mug. Sigma sure does know him well.

It's a good flavor. Equally important, it's distinct from the rest of the morning's palate. Otherwise, he would have gladly gone with caramel. His hands tease along York's side while he drinks, fond and gentle.

The touch has him smiling, even though it's hidden. He gets more than halfway through the drink before pausing to lick the foam from the top of his lip, then he buries himself back in the cup to finish it.

The foam is tempting, but Sigma did have his own latte earlier. He'll behave himself. For now.

Once he's done, he sets the empty cup down and immediately moves in for a kiss so Sigma gets a taste as well.

See? Good things come to those who wait. He licks the foam from York's lips before kissing him properly.

He chuckles quietly, then falls easily and gladly into the kiss.

Just because he already had breakfast doesn't mean he minds having a bit of a snack.

Speaking of snacks... His hands move up to Sigma's shoulders and waist and in a moment, he's got them flipped and grins down at his boyfriend.
