"You look like shit." That's hi in Church-speak. "Having an equally shitty time?"

'Well you're as subtle as ever,' he mutters. 'Jack Daniels.'

[alphawho]

"It's my middle name. Leonard Subtle Church. You're as subtle as being hit with a bag of bricks. Like, repeatedly," he unnecessarily adds, pouring out a Jack.

[depthlesslock]

'Sure feel like I've been hit with a bag of bricks.' He takes the drink and chugs probably a bit too much of it in one go. 'How's life at the bar?'

[alphawho]

That's concerning. "It's life. Once all the gunk and goo got all scraped and melted and whatever'd off and things got restocked, it's been business as usual." He tips the bottle. "Another?"

[depthlesslock]

'They still haven't worked out how they're going to get rid of the stuff for good. Sig and I spent three days trying to avoid Florida in the base while that shit was raining down.'

He looks at the empty glass in his hand, then turns it upside down on the counter. 'Just give me the bottle, I'll work through it.'

"Gonna have to call you a cab after. So you know." Which does not keep him from giving the bottle over and adding the price of said bottle to the tab.

"You and Florida not getting along, too? Shit, are there any other mercs you do get on with?"

[depthlesslock]

'Just call Wash. He already knows I was coming out here.'

He looks at the bottle, nudging it around the counter. 'Wash. Maine. North. Carolina. Florida's been a prick lately.'

[alphawho]

"So long as Wash doesn't get smashed with you. ...Wait, Rescue Ranger Wash or crazy-not-crazy Wash?" Cuz there's a distinction now.

"Florida's finicky. Haven't seen him hanging around in a while, though."

[depthlesslock]

'Rescue Ranger,' he says. 'OWash would more likely get smashed with me.'

'That's 'cause he's been busy being a damn bully.' Most of this is said into the bottle as he takes another swig.

[alphawho]

"OWash," he repeats, cuz, well, that's a new one. "Yeah. Probably would. So. What's been happening in the life of Keys that has him so down in the dumps, huh?"

[depthlesslock]

'Other Wash,' he elaborates. 'He's doing better. I dunno how often he comes in here. Or if he has since the first time.'

'You know what's being going on with Delta, right?'

[alphawho]

"Oh yeah, he comes here on his own. We chat. Not a bad guy. A little weird but not in like a weird way."

Church leans in on his elbows. "Like with the moving and stuff...?"

[depthlesslock]

'Really? That's good.' He hadn't been sure how Wash would deal with the Alpha of this world, given the one in his own. 'Yeah, I get what you mean. He's good. He met Sig a while back and they got on.'

He glances up. Does Church not know about the whole issue with Maine? Well, it's not his to tell. 'All that stuff.'

"All the stuff with Delta is a lot of stuff given I'm pretty sure he's psychologically incapable of letting anything go. So which thing are we talking about?"

[depthlesslock]

'Honestly, most of it. Shit's been really hard on him lately and it's wearing on him.' He sighs and takes another drink.

[alphawho]

"Aaaaand what's that gotta do with you?"

[depthlesslock]

'I'm worried about him.' He folds his arms on the table and rests his chin on them.

"You...are?" Seriously? Do they know each other that well?

[depthlesslock]

'Yeah, of course I am. How could I not be?'

[alphawho]

"Cuz I didn't realize you guys even interacted."

[depthlesslock]

York stares.

'Are you serious?'

[alphawho]

"I...mean...I guess if you're dating his brother you'd talk."

[depthlesslock]

'Delta's one of my best friends!'

[alphawho]

"Really? Jesus christ I'm sorry. That must get annoying real fast."
