LOG: Anywhere you go, there you are

It's a rare day, one with clear skies and empty air, and everyone seems to be out and about, shopping and stopping in to various places of entertainment to make the most of it. Some people are even seen without their helmets, a risky behavior but one which they chose take the luxury of indulging in.

Today's curious though, for it's the day that Jimmy settles his newest acquisition into a basement room of the casino. The Transponser, a teleportation device, left to malfunction until the inventor who sold it to him can be located again, for yes, he's made himself scarce after this deception. Apparently getting money for his work was more attractive than perfecting the technology behind it.

In any case, it's a day for socializing and getting to know friends better and meet neighbors.

"You live with assholes to?"

He'll pause the conversation to pay for his cookies and other things. "Glad to know I'm not the only one."

'Oh yeah,' he replies. 'Plenty of them.'

He waits behind Grif for his turn at the cashier.

Grif finishes quickly, checking the clock. He should probably get back to the Warthog soon. Simmons is punctual and he's rather avoid being yelled at.

"Well, I'm at the Car Shoppe on the edge of town if you want to shittalk them or something. You know. Vent."

York joins Grif quickly, not having much to check out. Just the coffee and cookies.

'You're a mechanic?' he asks. 'And thanks for the offer, but I've already got vent friends.'

[grifshot]

"Yeah, out on the edge of town. It's a living."

[depthlesslock]

'Nice. Might drop by sometime.'

[grifshot]

"If you want, or ever need your car fixed."

[depthlesslock]

'Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Do you do motorbikes as well?'

[grifshot]

"Not usually, but I can. Don't see many motorbikes around."

[depthlesslock]

'Yeah, it's tricky to get them, but well worth it if you can.'

[grifshot]

"I suppose. Most of the people around here go for cars."

[depthlesslock]

'If they go for private transport at all. Motorbikes are quicker and easier to slip through traffic.'

[grifshot]

"I don't really see why you'd need to do that, though. I mean, unless you're in a high speed chase or something."

[depthlesslock]

He just grins behind his helmet and doesn't say anything about how close Grif is.

'Or if you need to get somewere quickly.'

[grifshot]

"I guess. I mean, I'm not disagreeing, I'd just rather do it in the safety of a warthog."

Simmons was the stickler for rules. Not him.

[depthlesslock]

'Warthog, huh? Those things are pretty heavy duty. Well, you're definitely pretty safe in them, I'll give you that.'

[grifshot]

"Most of the time anyway."

Their's just had a funny habit of being wrecked, likely blown up, on a regular basis.

York tilts his head.

'Sounds like there's a story there.'

[grifshot]

"It's a bit of a long one. It's happened on more than one occasion."

[depthlesslock]

'Wow, seriously? The hell do you uys get up to over there?'

[grifshot]

"Standing around and talking. You know, the usual."

And somehow that results in stuff blowing up. The correlation has yet to be found though it's likely it's name is Caboose.

York laughs.

'Guess trouble just finds you then?'

[grifshot]

"Like you wouldn't believe, York. Like you wouldn't believe."

[depthlesslock]

'Man, that sucks. Hopefully you'll catch a break soon then.'

[grifshot]

Grif actually laughs at that.

"Yeah, like that'll ever happen. I don't know what I did but I know it's not ending anytime soon."

Karma's got it out for him as far as he's concerned.
