Log: Mind the waves

Louisiana rubs the back of her neck, glancing over the newest report scrolling across her holopad. Something was brewing out in the city. All non-essential personnel were being recalled back to Armonia and now she had to oversee a team. She didn't mind low levels as long as they listened. At least Anders was to be her second in command over them.

She locks the pad after encrypting the information. All of that chatter flickering in the back of her mind. It could be ignored for now. Her holopad being shoved into her bag. Louisiana just needed to focus on getting through this lesson.

Sigma was easy. York...not so much. Not after what her partner had done. What her latest set of jobs as the Wraith entailed. It'll be easier once they arrive and she can stop fumbling with these thoughts.

Flopping into a lounge chair, Louisiana watched the water. Her head leaning back. One thing was for certain. Waiting still sucked.

'No thanks to you,' he grumbles, throwing one of the other floaties at his boyfriend. 'My pride is in shatters, I shall never recover from this public humiliation. Oh, woe!'

"Oh, I did," she says. "Backed them up, too. I'll send them to you later."

"awww, c'mon. At least we didn't make you swim a lap in them," Sigma says. "Do you need me to kiss you better?"

She rests against the wall with a broad grin. She jokingly does a fistpump. "Bon. Nice work Oquirrh. Also Rooks is right. We were nice enough to not actually enforce the swim part."

'You still suck,' he complains, but wades over to Sigma and pulls him in for a kiss. Never say no to that. The others can deal with it if they don't like PDA.

"Glad I could help," she chirps. "How're you goin?"

While Sigma knows he should behave himself, he does have a boyfriend to mollify. He makes sure York is properly well-kissed before pulling away.

"So who's next?" he teases.

"Good I suppose," Louisiana answers with a shrug. She leans back. "What about you? I'm surprised you're here."

'Nope.' York wraps his arms possessively around his boyfriend. 'Mine.' He rests his chin on Sigma's shoulder and watches the two women. 'Nice to finally meet you, Oquirrh.'

"I thought I'd stop by to visit. I didn't realize you would have company," she says. "Nice to meet you too, York."

"I meant with the floaties," Sigma says, laughing.

"Well swim lessons weren't exactly productive on Monday. Though I doubt they'll be productive today either," she says. To be honest, this was mostly another hangout than training. She pays no attention to the boys for now.

He playfully nips at Sigma's ear when the man laughs at him. 'Shut up.'

'You treating my best friend well?' he asks, raising his head to look at Oquirrh. 'Made him blush yet? Actually, has he stopped blushing yet?'

"You're giving swim lessons again? I guess that shouldn't surprise me," she says.

York's question surprises her, though it really shouldn't. "Yes, yes, and yes. Your best friend is a great guy."

"I did swim eight laps," Sigma says. "I'm sorry York didn't do his one, but I think we harassed him enough."

Oquirrh doesn't blush when York mentions Washington. Sigma's almost disappointed.

"Well Rooks here needs to learn skills so why not," she counters softly. "Though yes you did alright on two 100s. That's still just a warm up. York is already traumatized enough."

'He sure is. Made my day when I found out he'd met someone.' He's pretty sure he didn't stop grinning since he found the number in with her wallet.

'Yes, I've had my torment, leave me in peace now.'

"I'll consider it, if you promise to give my wallet back," she teases. "Two 100s isn't bad at all, though I don't envy you."

"That's why I asked if someone else should get the floaties. Take all the attention away from him," Sigma says.

"I don't think anyone deserves those things right now," she says. At the very least it's a way to retaliate if anything happens. Louisiana was rather fine having wrangled one person today.

'You can have it back. If you ever come over, or I might give it to Wash to give you.' Wasn't much in it anyway and he had no use for it.

'As long as I can keep your attention,' he says to Sigma, curling around him again.

[oquirrh_at_the_wheel]

"I think I would be a bit of a liability, coming to your base," Oquirrh says. "So I can just get it from him, thanks."

"So how do you all know each other?"

Sigma kisses his cheek. "My brother almost ran over York with a skateboard," he says, "and Louisiana rescued me from a mercenary with a knife. You could call it a series of happy accidents."

"Happy accidents? That's not exactly what I would call what happened," Louisiana sighs. That night was nowhere near happy for anyone. "Might I remind you that you thought I was going to shoot you."

'I asked him out for coffee after he not-so-subtley implied that he wanted me to. We kind of went from there.' His arms tighten around Sigma, though this time out of protectiveness as Louisiana recaps the events of their meeting.
