Omega needed out of the house. He loves his family but that would have been too much togetherness even without the extra people.

So as soon as he can, after the kids are in bed, he escapes out to the Eagle and Asp. Where else can he stay as long as he wants this late at night?

And Church is there. They should talk, without fighting. He actually...isn't all that different from how Omega remembers, considering the amnesia.

Apparently they are able to talk without fighting now, if talking about the presents gotten is any indication. Still, he's surprised to see Omega there. When was the last time they saw each other face to face? Theta's party?

"Waiting for someone?"

"No," Omega says. "I'm avoiding someone. How did you weather the storm?"

Hopefully without small children hanging on him.

"Looked out the window, saw it was shit, went back to fucking bed. Ate cereal, watched tv, had a couple days off straight. It was glorious. I mean, the sticky shit was pretty bad, don't get me wrong, but the not having to go anywhere was awesome."

Lucky bastard.

"You didn't get sick of being stuck inside?" Omega hates not getting to leave. He needs something new.

"Uh, no? It means not having to deal with anyone, or with the weather directly. A long weekend is a pretty sweet deal to me."

"I guess if you live alone that wouldn't be so bad."

Omega hates being alone more than even being cooped up.

Tuesday Night 1/12

His whole world makes no sense anymore. There's new complexities with TC, an implication that Maine might either want to get back together or hurt him or... It's all just a mess. Plus there's the new and final push towards the new house which has him concerned about his little siblings not being comfortable there (not to mention himself), a weird change to his relationship with York that involves the other guy NOT bugging him about Maine and...

He needs a drink. And so Delta waits at the bar for Wash's promised arrival, though his attention is also on his older brother.

"Think you can make me that chocolatey coffee drink again, Church?"

He'd like to have something tasty in hand for when Wash arrives, just in case the other man doesn't want to talk much.

"Anything for you." That might sound good out of his mouth but it doesn't actually mean anything special. Anything for a paying customer, really. "Rough day?"

[protective_logic]

"Rough week," Delta counters. "That damn storm trapped my ex and his 'sister' in the house with us for a while."

He can't help but reach up to rub his formerly broken nose. "I'm so looking to get wasted. If only I could."

"He's got a sister?" He squints a little. "Are you using sister as in like sister sister or like a fellow merc who is like a sister?"

[protective_logic]

"Latter," Delta groans. "She hates me. And she was in our house. I'm just... FUCK."

She's also Omega's ex, but Delta isn't bringing that up. "OH, and Maine is either trying to get me to chase him and try to win him back, or he's trying to get me to chase him so he can hurt me with rejection."

Wow. That is a vehement curse from someone who is generally not loud or curse-y, in Church's knowledge. He slides the drink over when he's done. "Sounds like a fun time. She's out of the house now, right?"

"Yes," Delta says in relief. "So is Maine. I just... hell, at the same time a friend of mine wants to, in a way, be more than merely friends and you have a very chaotic life. Throw in moving and the twins maybe not understanding that and Tex being mad at me... Just shoot me now."

He's not sure how this is going to work out. Maybe he should have chosen somewhere other than the Eagle and Asp. Church isn't known for his ability to keep his mouth shut. And all he wants is a drink with someone who is much less complicated than most people here.

He turns up to the bar, wearing the jeans and knitted sweater he'd bought the other day with Delta's help. It seemed appropriate. Mostly unarmed, although there's a couple of knives tucked away where he can easily reach them. That's a habit that isn't going away anytime soon.

He pulls his helmet off when he gets inside, although the scarf stays on, and he scans the room. Delta is already there, over by the bar, and he offers a wave and a smile before heading over.

"Hey. Glad you made it. Hope it wasn't too much trouble."

Delta cuts off his conversation with his oldest brother and he turns his attention to Wash. With a smile he waves the man over and when he arrives the greeting is nice enough.

"I've been here for a bit," he answers, gesturing to his quarter finished drink. He doesn't want to get really drunk actually. Not even remotely. So he was happy to enjoy his drink while waiting. "Took some to get off for the night, but I've got an evening to be around."

"Sorry I kept you waiting." He pulls out a bar stool and sits down next to him. "I'm glad. You sounded like you could use some time away." He looks exhausted, like he needs a good week of sleep. Wash can sympathise.

"God could I ever," Delta smiles. "I told you it was rough, but damn, it was worse than that. I just want OUT. And now I am. One of two nights out this week, and then we pack up and maybe move."

"Then I'm glad I could help you make your escape," Wash replies honestly. He knows the feeling of needing to escape, albeit under different circumstances.

"Sounds like you have a busy week ahead though."

Wednesday night

TC has a routine. Post the fic, and head out to the Eagle and Asp to drink so he doesn't check his phone obsessively.

He's going to ask Church for something he can make at home that's not too strong. Church knows how to make more drinks than TC's even heard of. He should know something for Delta.

Guy's around, no Delta in sight. Hm. "Got a date tonight, hotshot?"

"No, do you?"

Maybe TC will find one. Probably not. He should ask Delta if he wants to be exclusive.

"Only if they don't mind waiting 'til fuckoff o'clock at night for a date." Aaaand after that he'd like to eat and also sleep soooo. "What can I do you for?"

"What do you have that's not so strong and I can make it at home?" Is this the one who knows Delta? TC's not sure.

"If you have a bottle of liquor and something to mix it with, you can make very basic things at home that aren't strong. Depends on what you're looking for."
