Log: Mind the waves

Louisiana rubs the back of her neck, glancing over the newest report scrolling across her holopad. Something was brewing out in the city. All non-essential personnel were being recalled back to Armonia and now she had to oversee a team. She didn't mind low levels as long as they listened. At least Anders was to be her second in command over them.

She locks the pad after encrypting the information. All of that chatter flickering in the back of her mind. It could be ignored for now. Her holopad being shoved into her bag. Louisiana just needed to focus on getting through this lesson.

Sigma was easy. York...not so much. Not after what her partner had done. What her latest set of jobs as the Wraith entailed. It'll be easier once they arrive and she can stop fumbling with these thoughts.

Flopping into a lounge chair, Louisiana watched the water. Her head leaning back. One thing was for certain. Waiting still sucked.

"Make sure to get some good pics," Louisiana jokes with Oquirrh. She finally manages to keep York's arms under control.

Shit, shouldn't have stopped moving, now he can't start up again. 'Let me go, you assholes!' he complains, struggling all the harder.

"Excuse me, you're the one who stole my wallet. This is definite payback," Oquirrh says, snapping more pictures.

"Wait, really?" Sigma asks.

Once Sigma gets the other float on, Louisiana grabs a better hold on York's arms. Her knee remains in place for now. "Yea that was fun to learn. Grab his legs, Rooks. He's ready to hit the pool."

'Yeah, remember I told you I left Wash's number for her? Couldn't fuck up the guy's one successful attempt,' he says, craning his neck to try and see people. 'What? No. No, no no no, you're not throwing me in there like this.'

"Thank you for not," Oquirrh says, "but I'm still sending him pictures."

"Got him," Sigma says, slipping his hands under York's knees. "Let's do this."

Louisiana works with Sigma to heave York up off the floor. "Not up for debate, York. You'll at least float well. So that's a plus."

York scrabbles for purchase, but the tiles offer absolutely zero grip so he opts for trying to grab Lou instead. 'Then you're coming with me!'

Laughing, Oquirrh hurries out of the way so she can get a better angle for pictures.

"Sounds fair to me," Sigma says, racing for the edge before he drops him. He isn't sure he could throw York in anyway.

"You think so? I mean it's great to have dreams and all, Nemo," she teases, smiling. Louisiana then throws the mercenary into the pool.

He grabs for her, and his hands find something but he's not entirely sure what before he's falling throught the air. He barely has enough time to take a deep breath before he crashes into the water.

Oquirrh waits a moment to take pictures when he surfaces, but after that, her work here is done. She goes to put her phone away so she can join in the fun.

True to his word, Sigma jumps in, not letting go of York's legs until he hits the water. It's deep enough that he's completely underwater before his feet reach the bottom. He bobs up for air, laughing, and watches York try to orient himself.

York's grip on her arm was enough to send her crashing into the pool after him. It was at least fair to be dragged in. However she couldn't help but laugh when she surfaces. He looked like an orange cork flailing and bobbing in the water.

"This is priceless. Holy shit," she laughs.

Jesus Christ, this is a nightmare. The floats are pulling him up and making it difficult for him to move properly. He can't easily stand up because of the ring around his waist, so he focuses on getting the bands off his arms first, then pushes the ring off and finally swims free.

After sending a select few priceless pictures to Wash (in case someone steals her phone and deletes them), Oquirrh jumps in to join them.

"You three are ridiculous," she teases.

"You okay?" Sigma asks York, snagging one of the offending floaties and throwing it at Oquirrh.

"Ridiculous, yes. However it's a worthwhile ridiculousness," Louisiana counters, smirking. "Please tell me you got some great photos."

'No thanks to you,' he grumbles, throwing one of the other floaties at his boyfriend. 'My pride is in shatters, I shall never recover from this public humiliation. Oh, woe!'

"Oh, I did," she says. "Backed them up, too. I'll send them to you later."

"awww, c'mon. At least we didn't make you swim a lap in them," Sigma says. "Do you need me to kiss you better?"

She rests against the wall with a broad grin. She jokingly does a fistpump. "Bon. Nice work Oquirrh. Also Rooks is right. We were nice enough to not actually enforce the swim part."
