Log: Mind the waves

Louisiana rubs the back of her neck, glancing over the newest report scrolling across her holopad. Something was brewing out in the city. All non-essential personnel were being recalled back to Armonia and now she had to oversee a team. She didn't mind low levels as long as they listened. At least Anders was to be her second in command over them.

She locks the pad after encrypting the information. All of that chatter flickering in the back of her mind. It could be ignored for now. Her holopad being shoved into her bag. Louisiana just needed to focus on getting through this lesson.

Sigma was easy. York...not so much. Not after what her partner had done. What her latest set of jobs as the Wraith entailed. It'll be easier once they arrive and she can stop fumbling with these thoughts.

Flopping into a lounge chair, Louisiana watched the water. Her head leaning back. One thing was for certain. Waiting still sucked.

"This isn't next time," Louisiana counters, smirking. She was taking her time going after him. If he got too close to the steps, she could still book it and grab him. "Don't you get out!"

'Hi!' York calls, waving in the vague direction of Sigma and the newcomer, but he's more focused on Louisiana. 'You can't stop me!' He's aiming for the steps, but keeping close enough to the wall that he should be able to haul himself out if she gets too close.

She waves back shyly. "Wait, York? Agent York?" She stops and tries again. "I'm Oquirrh. I'm dating his friend, Washington."

If York is going to end up in floaties, she had better start taking pictures.

No way. This girl is dating Wash? "Do we know the same guy?" he asks. "How'd he end up with a girl like you? And how do you feel about taking pictures?"

Louisiana huffs before finally putting effort into swimming after him. "Oh yes I can," she retorts sharply. The distance between her and him closing quickly.

Oh shit, she's closing in fast! With a yelp, York abandons his plan for the stairs and instead grabs the side of the pool and pulling self out onto the side, rolling until he's hopefully out of her reach.

"You go get your boyfriend," she says. "I'll take care of pictures."

She has the boyfriend's permission. That totally makes this okay.

"Deal," Sigma says. He sprints over to catch York at the side of the pool.

"C'mon, York. It's just a lap. I already did eight of them," he teases.

Louisiana pulls herself out of the water. She wasn't letting to get away that easily. A laugh leaves her when she finds Sigma having stopped him. Smart move.

"Look at that. Should've stayed in the water," Louisiana teases. "At least it's better than being stuck on the ground."

'I'll do a lap, but not with the bloody floaties on!' He pushes against Sigma's grip and manages to break it relatively easily. For all he'll happily stay under him in certain situations, in ones like this, he's got the strength to break away if he wants to.

Snagging her phone, Oquirrh starts taking pictures. The number one rule in a war like this is to take as many photos as possible and hope that one turns out.

"Oh, c'mon!" Sigma throws the floatie around York's neck, not hooking him but definitely obscuring his vision.

"It won't be that bad," Louisiana points out. She heads over to her bag and snags the arm floats. Working with Sigma, they slid onto York's arms with a struggle.

York flinches when the floatie comes down over his eyes. He reaches up to take it off, but someone grabs his arm before he can. Teeth gritted, he reminds himself that this is all in fun and finally manages to get the ring off by dropping his head forward and pushing it off with his shoulders. Sight returned, he starts to struggle more playfully against Sigma and Lou. 'You're both evil!'

Perfect, they've got his arms. Oquirrh can't wait to share these with Wash.

"Yes I am, and you love me for it," Sigma teases. He snags the floatie but isn't sure how to get it around York's waist. He's not even sure it'll fit, really, but at least he has it.

"If you would surrender, we wouldn't have to be so evil," Louisiana jokes, smirking. Her knee rests on his chest as she shifts to crouch. "Put the other float on and a lap. That's all you have to do."

Aaaand he's down again. God dammit. He could probabaly get them both off, but the walk area around the pool is slippy and he doesn't want one of them banging their heads. 'Why are you tormenting me so?' he laments as he tries to get the damn bands off his arms.

She waits for a moment. The pictures won't be much good while he's down, and she has several. Time for them to get him into the pool.

"Because you said that running is better than swimming," Sigma says. "And because we're evil. Wash's girlfriend is getting pictures for him."

He'll make it up to him later. Right now, with Wash's girlfriend looking on, this is just too funny.

"Sigma, get the float on him," Louisiana says. Her hands keep York from removing the ones on his arms. She leans back as she fends off his struggles. "Chill out, Nemo and smile for the camera."

'Wait, what?' In surprise, he forgets to struggle and raises his head to see the young woman he'd waved at earlier. 'That's Oquirrh?' Dammit, this is not the first impression he wanted to make.

Well, now everyone knows she's here. Oquirrh closes in with her camera. "That's me," she says, smiling.

Sigma gets the float onto one of York's legs, then the next. Almost there.

"Make sure to get some good pics," Louisiana jokes with Oquirrh. She finally manages to keep York's arms under control.
