Log: Tending the Twins

Before he picks up the twins from school, Sigma finds everything he should need. Paper, pencils, crayons, and even a few stickers, so they can decorate the room with "Get Well Delta" cards. Dishes, cups, and favorite juices. A rogue ball of string in case York wants to help the twins play the "secret agent" game that he proposed on their second date.

It's a lot for one morning of babysitting, but Sigma really wants this to go well. Delta needs it, and more importantly, he hasn't seen York since before finals. It's time to sit back, have fun, and pretend that nothing is wrong.

Thankfully, the twins are pretty docile by the time they get home. Both of them have been cranky in Delta's absence. Now, they just seem resigned. Sigma hopes York will help him cheer them up.

York follows and starts taking down the webs, winding the strings together and grinning when he sees the method Sigm has opted for.

'Cute,' he teases, draping one thread over Sigma's head so it dangles in front of his face.

Sigma shakes his head, trying to dislodge the yarn. "It keeps it from tangling." He insists. "For next time."

'Good plan,' he says, tugging the string off his boyfriend and winding it with his own batch. Maybe next time he can make it more complex. Not as much as the one he made for Florida, but more somwhere in between.

Grinning at the promise of a next time, Sigma stashes the yarn butterflies on the table with the artwork. They'll have to put the pictures up for Delta later, maybe after the twins wake up.

York sets his collected strings down, then stalks after Sigma and wraps his arms around him from behind, kissing just below his ear.

'Now where were we?'

Humming, Sigma leans back against him. "This is about right," he says.

That suits him just fine. He presses another kiss to Sigma's jaw as the shorter man leans into him.

He slips his arms over York's, toying with the fingers that hold him close.

York raises his hands slightly to grant Sigma better access.

Without looking down, Sigma caresses those incredible hands, smiling and the touch and the kisses.

York hums happily, resting his chin on Sigma's head for a moment before turning down to kiss him on the other side.

The change surprises him momentarily, but not in a bad way. He presses his head back against York and sighs contentedly.

York ducks his head down to turn his attentions to Sigma's neck again. 'You're gorgeous,' he breathes against his skin.

That's the first time anyone has ever said that to him. Flustered, he fumbles for a response. "You're wonderful," he whispers.

How can he not chuckle at the fumble. For all that he loves Sigma's confidence, he's also incredible adorable when he gets caught off guard like this. Grinning, he kisses his cheek.

Blushing, he turns his head to kiss York's jaw.

'You're so cute when you blush,' he teases, kissing him on the nose.

"I'm glad one of us appreciates it," he teases back.

He chuckles again. 'How could I not?'

"But it's so obvious," he says. "And it makes it easier for my brothers to pick on me."

'Most blushes are obvious. And you can pick on them back.' He catches Sigma's fingers with his own.

[ambitious_muse]

"Not Delta," he says. "Not about Maine, anyway. Louisiana will make me swim laps." He lets York stop his fingers, stilled by the touch.

'She holding that over you now?' She would, the minx. York smiles as he starts to mess with Sigma's fingers in turn.

[ambitious_muse]

"Everybody's overprotective of Delta," he says. "That's why I'm lucky to have you."

Sigma lets his fingers relax, curious about the way York manipulates them.

He kisses him quickly. 'Well you've got me. Like earlier, I'm all tangled up in you.' He drapes himself over Sigma and twines their fingers together with a grin to emphasise his point.
